One of MaxStack’s service offerings is dedicated MAS hosting – a separate Red Hat OpenShift cluster running MAS for each of your Maximo environments. We provision MAS environments using our IaC (infrastructure as code) provisioner in hours, hosted in the AWS cloud.
No. MaxStack provides only dedicated MAS environments, never shared. This gives teams more control, access, flexibility, and data isolation than shared hosting models.
MaxStack hosting paths include MAS Single, MAS Cluster, and MAS HCP Cluster. The right fit depends on team size, modules, availability needs, integrations, support model, and long-term roadmap.
MAS Single uses a Single Node OpenShift approach for smaller, focused, lower-complexity, or pilot MAS use cases. It can be a more cost-effective starting point than a larger cluster.
Yes, database access options can be part of the dedicated hosting conversation, especially for reporting, support, migration, integrations, troubleshooting, and administration needs.
Of course not! In our view there’s no business benefit in an arbitrary conversion from SQL Server or Oracle to DB2 just to upgrade to MAS. You can avoid introducing time, effort, cost, and risk to your project by remaining on SQL Server or Oracle.
Yes. MaxStack can support connectivity planning around allowlisting, VPN, private networking, integrations, internal systems, and other access requirements.
Yes. MaxStack can support BYOL, meaning you can bring your own IBM licensing and use MaxStack for the hosting, support, integration, or migration path around it.
Yes. MaxStack supports BYOC models where your existing consultant or internal team remains involved while MaxStack supports hosting, infrastructure, integrations, or other areas as needed.
Yes. We’ve completed dozens of 7.6 to MAS upgrades (and have decades of prior upgrade experience) and can help with MAS upgrade planning, migration support, validation, testing, environment readiness, integration review, and go-live stabilization.
No. Maximo configurations, workflows, reports, scripts, and business rules will carry forward. Most integrations will also, and even file-based integrations may require minimal adjustment with the right connectivity in place between MAS and your on-prem or other cloud systems.
No. MaxStack can support hosted customers, internally managed environments, and teams using other providers depending on the scope and requirements.
Support can include MAS hosting support, day-to-day managed user and admin support, application troubleshooting, upgrade guidance, integration support, performance review, configuration review, and operational advising.
Yes. MaxStack can work with your internal administrators, infrastructure team, consultants, leaders, and end users through a clear support and ownership model.
Yes. MaxStack can help compare on-prem, shared cloud, and dedicated cloud MAS paths based on control, cost, support, integrations, internal workload, and long-term operations.
It depends, but most determine that it is. Dedicated cloud can provide more control than shared SaaS while reducing the internal burden of on-prem infrastructure, OpenShift, database, monitoring, patching, and recovery responsibilities.
Doing so would cause significant business disruption and the loss of your tailored Maximo optimizations. If the issue is hosting, upgrade complexity, support, integrations, procurement friction, or user experience, modernization may be a better path than replacing Maximo entirely. We can help.
