You may be wondering what the difference is between “Maximo Hosting” and “Maximo as a Service” (MaaS) and which one we provide at MaxStack.
To answer that, let’s clarify our meanings of these terms:
Hosted Maximo
Complete Maximo Application Suite (MAS) cloud system, with dedicated (not shared) Red Hat servers for your company, and dedicated database.
Add as many licensed users as you want to your Maximo system, no need to contact us for that.
You can have full Maximo administration privileges, and full database access.
You can install, or have us install, Maximo application customizations since it is your application server.
MaaS Dedicated
The same as “Hosted Maximo”.
MaaS Shared
This is a different product, where you share an existing Maximo Application Suite (MAS) system in a Software as a Service (SaaS) approach.
Since you share your MAS application, you are limited in what you can do.
You can add users to your shared MAS deployment up to a limit, and you pay for each user you add.
You also share a database for your business data, so you are not permitted to access your database directly.
As you can see, Hosted Maximo = Dedicated Maximo-as-a-Service (Maas).
MaxStack is unique in that we provide only turnkey dedicated Maximo Application Suite (MAS) systems in the cloud. We’re able to make this superior dedicated MAS option affordable for even smaller / SMB organizations using Red Hat-supported deployment architectures.
